English translation:
It took place in Czyżew, on January the fifteenth/January the twenty
seventh, eighteen hundred and sixty nine, at three o’clock in the
afternoon. The wedding ceremony
took place in the presence of the following witnesses:
Icek Lejbowicz Igła and Fiszek
Aronowicz Żwawy, both yeshiva teachers residing in Czyżew. Abram Kur,
age nineteen years old, bachelor, laborer, born and residing in Nur, son
of Sana Chunowicz Kur, a shoemaker, and his wife, Fejga née Chunowicz,
married Chawa Monkarz, bachelorette, born in Czyżew, daughter of Majer
Byszkowicz Monkarz, a shoemaker, and his wife Rywka née Chaimówna,
residing in Czyżew, age eighteen years old, living with her parents.
Three banns of marriage have been
announced in the synagogues in Nur and Czyżew, on December the twenty
eighth, eighteen hundred and sixty eight/January the ninth, eighteen
hundred and sixty nine, January the fourth/January sixteenth, and
January the eleventh/January the twenty third, this year.
The newlyweds got their parents’
permission for the marriage. Parents
were present. The newlyweds
haven’t signed any prenuptial agreement.
The couple was blessed by the Rabbi of Czyżew, Lejzor Paj.
