The Jew Herszk [Tzvi] Tachna, residing in the village of Zaremby,
age twenty two, earning his living as a scribe of Jewish Prayers [Torah
Scribe], appeared in the presence of Jankiel Hazde, synagogue sexton,
age fifty seven, and Jankiel Freyman, day laborer, age twenty, both of

showed us a child of male sex, born in Zareby Koscielne on the twenty

night, to his wife Szeyna [Shayna daughter of Yisroel] Srulowna, age
twenty, to whom at the circumcision was given the name Izrael [Yisroel
son of Tzvi Ha-Levy]. This
