Silberstein, Stanislaw
General Notes: He was married to Regina Eiger (b. March 1, 1876, Czestochowa, Poland; d. Treblinka). He was a wealthy industrialist and also a philanthropist like his parents and brother Mieczyslaw. Stanislaw also had an interest in music. He was active in va rious charitable and social affairs in Lodz and was also a candidate for the Parliament (Duma). He lived in France from 1930-1942. According to the obiturary of Ada Propper he lived in Capbreton, in Aquitaine, near Spain. He was in France whe n he was arrested and held in the camp at Drancy. Later he was transported to Auschwitz. Stanislaw and Regina Silberstein had three children. Stanislaw married Regina Eiger. (Regina Eiger was born on Mar 1, 1879 in Czestochowa, Czestochowa, Kielce, Poland and died in 1943 in Treblinka Death Camp, Poland - HOLOCAUST.) |
