(born March 13, 1886, Warsaw; died 1937 or 1938, Moscow). He used the pseudonyms Jerzy Ryng, and Henryk Jez. Communist. Leading theorist of the Polish Communist Party and editor of it's newspaper Nowy Przeglad [New Review]. He was arrested b y the NKVD and executed as part of Stalin's purges of the Polish Communist Party in 1937 (or 1938). In 1956 he was rehabilitated. Jerzy was married to Maria de Gerszow Pieczynska (b. September 3, 1886, Warsaw; d. 1967). She was also active i n the Polish Communist Party and used the pseudonyms "Bronka" and "Dolinka." Maria de Gerszow's father was an engineer who died during the construction of th eTrans-Siberian Railway. Maria's mother was named Helena.
Jerzy married Maria de Gerszow Pieczynska, daughter of Unknown and Helena [maiden name unkown]. (Maria de Gerszow Pieczynska was born on Sep 3, 1886 in Warsaw, Poland and died in 1967.)
