Jonas, Morris Izik 1,2,3General Notes: Morris Izik was a very very learned and sharp person; very learned in Torah with strong convictions and he was a fighter for the truth. He could read from the Torah; and lead prayer services in his synogogue and would be the person to blow the sh ofar on Rosh Hashannah and Yom Kippur. He resided next to a forest near Cadea, Austro-Hungary. It was an extremely small village near Tashnad. Part of his house served as an inn where they served refreshments to lumber workers who were cutting t imber nearby. Noted events in his life were: • Yahrtzeit: 16th of Sivan 5693. • Hebrew name. 2 Moshe Itzik Morris married Ida Hoffman, daughter of Moshe Hoffman and Devorah [maiden name unknown]. (Ida Hoffman was born in 1874 in Vezeror Lasztomer, Hungary 1,2,3 and died on May 26, 1944 in Auschwitz Death Camp - HOLOCAUST 1,2,3.) |
