(The date of his death comes from his obituary in newspaper Izraelita. According to his tombstone inscription he died on Nov. 3). Merchant and Hebrew poet. He was the author of three books: Aliyat Tobiyyah: Shene sippurim sihiyyim: Zedek waa tara...Ahiman we-Shulamit...; we-od sippur shelishshi be-shem Erez kedem neetak mileshon Erez Zarefat we-shirim shonim rubbam shire musar, 47 be-mispar me-itti Tobiyya Kohn. (1885); Sefer Zikkron le-Toviyah: kolel be'urim be-sifre Shemuel, Yes ha'yah tere 'asar, Mishle, Iyon (1889); Hardar ha-'aliyah: Kolel shene sipurim hituliyim ve-shirim shonim (1892).

Tobiasz was married to Jenta Rosental (b. circa 1821; d. May 28, 1889, Warsaw), a daughter of Chaim Rosental and Laia daughter of Abram. Tobiasz and Jenta were married in Warsaw on March 15, 1840. They are both buried in the Warsaw Jewish Cemete ry; Tobiasz (sector 71, row 1, number 90); Jenta: (sector 12b, row 1, number 10).
