It came to pass in Zaręby Kościelne on the seventeenth day of January nineteen hundred and twenty five at six o’clock in the evening that there appeared [before Us] Aron Szlepowicz, a tailor, age twenty seven, residing in Zaręby Kościelne and, in the presence of the witnesses Wolf Dzieża, mayor, age fifty seven, and Icek Bergman, age fifty nine, homeowners residing in Zaręby Kościelne, showed Us a child of male gender born in Zaręby Kościelne on the ninth day of January of the current year at four o’clock in the morning to his wife Rywka née Tachna, age twenty eight.  This child, following the religious rites of its faith, was given the name Jośko.  Afterwards, this document was read [aloud] to the petitioner and the witnesses by Us, the Clerk of Civil Records, and signed by the witnesses.  The petitioner is not literate.
