It came to pass in Zaręby Kościelne on the third day of September nineteen hundred and twenty three at three o’clock in the afternoon that there appeared [before Us] Aron Slepowicz, age twenty six, a tailor, residing in Zaręby Kościelne and, in the presence of the witnesses Wolf Dzieża, mayor, age fifty five, and Icek Bergman, age fifty seven, both homeowners residing in Zaręby Kościelne, showed Us a child of female gender born in Zaręby Kościelne on the twenty fourth day of August of the current year at two o’clock in the morning to his wife Rywka née Tachna, age twenty six years old.  This child, following the religious rites of its faith, was given the name Chaszka.  Afterwards, this document was read [aloud] by Us, the Clerk of Civil Records, and signed by the witnesses.  The petitioner is not literate.
