It
happened in the settlement of Czyżew on the nineteenth of February
(third of March), eighteen hundred and ninety eight at seven o’clock in
the evening. I declare that [no date] in the presence of the witnesses
Lejzer Kelmanow Wengorz [Węgorz] and Abram Szmulew Alioes, both forty
seven years old and both of whom synagogue wardens residing in the
settlement of Czyżew was performed the religious wedding between
Abram Beniamin Monkarz
[Mąkarz], bachelor, born and residing with his parents in the settlement
of Czyżew, twenty two years of age, son of Wulf Hersz and Chaja Bejla
née Tachna married couple Monkarz [Mąkarz], and
Sura Glina, unmarried,
seventeen years of age, daughter of Abram Moszek and Perla née
Styczynska married couple Glina, born and residing with her parents in
the settlement of Czyżew. The wedding preceded three banns that were
announced in the synagogue of Czyżew on the sabbatical days of the
twenty forth of January (fifth of February), thirty first of January
(twelfth of February) and the seventh (nineteenth) of February of the
current year. The parents of the newly married, who were personally
present, gave their verbal permission to this wedding. The newly married
declared that they did not conclude any pre-marital contract. The
religious wedding ceremony was performed by the rabbi of Czyżew, Jankiel
Epsztejn. This document was read aloud and signed by Us, the witnesses
and the rabbi, the others mentioned in it stated that they cannot write.
