It happened in the town of Mlawa on the eighteenth of March, eighteen hundred and eighty two at ten o'clock in the morning. Szymsie [Shimon Alter son of Yitzhak Yakov Ha-Levy] Tachna, trader, twenty one years old, residing in the town of Mlawa, appeared in the presence of the witnesses, Kalman Zachariasz Rozenman, house-owner, sixty four years old, and Abram Moszko Etinger, synagogue sexton, sixty years old, both of whom residing in the town of Mlawa, and presented us a child of female gender testifying that it was born in the town of Mlawa on the seventeenth of March of the current year at nine o'clock in the evening to his legitimate wife, Zysa [Tzippora daughter of Mikhael Ha-Cohen] née Kon, nineteen years old. This child was given the name Brana Dwojra [Brachah Devorah daughter of Shimon Alter Ha-Levy]. This document was read to the announcer and the witnesses and then signed by them.
