It happened in Mlawa on two August, eighteen hundred and sixty one at eight o’clock in the morning, there came the Jews Levin Szmulowicz Landau, age seventy three, and Abrama Bajlowicz, age forty nine, teachers living in Mlawa, and stated that yesterday, at three o’clock in the afternoon, died Bajla Chai Tachna [Batyia Chaya daughter of Ze’ev Nutuh Ha-Levy], age fifteen, the daughter of Wolka [Ze’ev Nutuh son of Yakov Ha-Levy] and Mendli [Mendel] (of the family Mortkowitz) Tachna of Mlawa. After making certain that the deceased child was Bajly Chai Tachna, the witnesses read and signed the act.
