English translation:
It happened in the town of Nur on the twenty fourth of July / fifth of
August eighteen hundred fifty seven at eleven o’clock before noon the
Jew Boruch Abramowicz [Boruch son of Avram Ha-Levy] Tachna, age thirty
two, shoemaker, residing in the town of Nur, appeared in the presence of
the witnesses the Jews Jankiel Lemkowicz Kuropatwa, age twenty seven, a
day laborer, and Herszek Chunowicz Kur, age thirty three, a shoemaker,
both residing in the town of Nur, and showed us a female child, born in
the town of Nur on the nineteenth / thirteenth of January of the current
year at ten o’clock in the evening from his wife Sura Chunowna [Sara
daughter of Chanoch] (of the family Abramowicz), age thirty eight, to
whom at the religious ceremony was given the name Bejla [Batyia daughter
of Boruch Ha-Levy]. This document was comprehensibly read to those
who appeared and signed only by the servant of the Vital Records Office,
whereas the others in the mentioned document cannot write.
