General Notes: He was a well known gynecologist. He studied at the universities of Breslau, Wurzburg, and Berlin. From 1874 to 1876 he taught gynecology in Breslau. In 1876 he began lecturing in gynecology at the University of Berlin and was appointed a ful l professor in 1893. Together with his brother Theodor he opened a gynecolocgical clinic [Frauenklinik] in Berlin in 1892 which was very successful and enjoyed an international reputation. He conducted research on gynecology and wrote several wo rks on the subject. Noted events in his life were: • Yahrtzeit, Dec 28, 1920. He was a well known gynecologist.
