General Notes:
He settled in Bialystok in 1899, where he was a well known eye doctor. He had his own clinic which attracted many patients from various places. According to the Bialystok Yizkor book, "he demonstrated wonders with his operations." In 1925 he re ceived an honorary degree from the University of Vilna. He was an active Zionist and also a representative [viborshtshik] to the second Duma [Russian Parliament]. In 1928 he moved to Warsaw where he died. His son took over his clinic in Bialyst ok.
Dr. married Aneta Kriess on Jul 10, 1894 in Odessa, Ukraine.
