On his tombstone his surname is Lipsker (i.e. "Leipziger" the nickname of his grandfather Wolf Michel Cohn). (He was 41 years old in 1863 when his son Nusyn Wolf was born). He was a rabbinic judge (dayan) in Warsaw of the rabbinic court headed b y the chief Rabbi Ber Meisels. He was married to Ryfka Winer, born circa 1826, A daughter of Szmul Winer and Jachet. Abram and Ryfka were married in Stryków in 1842.

He was also a Moreh Zedek in Warsaw.
