General Notes:
Merchant (or engineer according to the testimony of his daughter to Yad Vashem). He was a soldier in World War I and was decorated with the "croix de guerre." He was married on June 29, 1930 to Doris Rosina Hassan (b. Oct. 28, 1900, Paris; die d during deportation to Auschwitz-Birkenau). Doris was a daughter of Albert Hassan, a merchant at Tripolil, and his wife Giulia Hassan.
Before the war Raymond, his wife Doris and their daughter Martine were living in Paris. During the war they lived in NIce and Gilette, Alpes Maritimes in France. After their arrest they were held in the camp at Drancy. They were deported to Aus chwitz on May 30, 1944, on transport number 75, which arrived in Auschwitz three days later on June 2. Doris died during the journey and Raymond was murdered at Birkenau around the end of December 1944.

Another was submitted by his friend Clude Levy (ID #1302807) . The third was submitted by Raymond's nephew living in Jerusalem. His name in the database is: Mate Planter (but on the form submitted it looks it migh be Meta Flauber).
