Rosenberg, Eugenja
- Marriage (1): Cohn, Julian Juljan
- Died: Dec 26, 1919, Warszawa, Poland
- Buried: Warsaw Jewish Cemetery sector 10, row 2, number 5
General Notes:
For the reasons stated above she is probably a daughter of Regina (Rywka) nee Cohn and Antoni (Aron) Rosenberg, and her husband Julian (Juljan) Cohn, a lawyer in Warsaw. Julian Cohn is presumably her relative but we don't know the names of his pa rents. He was involved in community affairs in Warsaw. In 1911 he was elected as a representative of the Jewish Community (his photo was included in the May 4, 1911 edition of the periodical Tygodnik Illustrowany, along with pictures of the elec ted members in an article about the Jewish Community election. He was Vice-President of the progressive Great Synagogue on Tlomackie Street in 1923, when Dr. Mojzesz Schorr was inaugurated as the new rabbi. He was also President of the Warsaw br anch of the society B'nei B'rith on July 2, 1927 (from an article on the Internet by A. Grillmeister about the Polish historian Taduesz Zielinski. Julian Cohn considered a particular book by Zielinski to be anti-Semitic).
Julian Cohn was probably identified with a lawyer from Warsaw named "Julian Kohn" who attended the Zionist Congress in London (1900) and Basel (1903).
Eugenja married Julian Juljan Cohn.
