He was a rabbi in Stryzow. He was married to Tzivia Frenkel, who was his first cousin. She was a daughter of his sister Chana (nee Horowitz) Frenkel.

Kalonymus married Tzivia Frenkel, daughter of Rabbi Yosef Chaim Frenkel of Sedziszow and Chana Horowitz.
