He was married to Lola Nina Helene Warburg. She was a daughter of the banker Max Moritz Warburg, from the well-known German Jewish banking family, and his wife Alice nee Magnus. In England Lola Hahn-Warburg was active in the Kindertransport, hel ping Jewish refugee children from Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia.
