Journalist and writer, author of several books, including Israel after Begin: Israel's Options in the Aftermath the Lebanon War (1984); The Kibbutz: Awakening for Utopia (2000); Holy Land Mosaic: Stories of Cooperation and Coexistence between I sraelis and Palestinians (2008).

He married Angela Jacobs. In 1961 he moved to Israel.
