He is mentioned by Zeev Yavetz in his book. His obiturary in Haaretz (January 9, 2005) gives an outline of his life, which describes him as "Mr. Tennis in Israel." He studied in England and France. In 1936 he attended Pardes Hannah Agricultura l school in Eretz Yisrael and learnt Hebrew. He returned to Britain and served in the Household Cavalry in World War II. In 1946 he married Shelagh Berger. By trade he was businessman but was also an amateur tennis player. He began to promot e tennis in Israel in 1975 and in 184 he emigrated to Israel. He was elected president of the Israel Tennis Association in 1992. In 1998 he began to promote tennis amond Israeli Arabs to encourage contact and cooperation between Jews and Arabs i n Israel. After his death his daughter Jane founded the Freddie Krivine Foundation in his honor.
Fishel married Shelagh Berger.
