Researching the Registers of births for Marghita preserved in the State Archives Orades for t he period 1854-1876 under No. 608,no registration of the birth of Pepi Berkovics. In 1901 (registration of Lenka's birth) appears as born in Simleul Silvaniei.
After the death of her husband Joseph Markus Ungar, she lived with her sister Sarolta and her family in Margita.
