General Notes: Husband - Rabbi Jakób Lorberbaum from Lissa

He was from the town of Lissa (Prussia) wher ehe was Av Beis Din. His first wife was the daughter of Rabbi Naftali Herz of Stanislaw. His second wife was a daughter of Rabbi Benjamin Wolf Shapiro and the thired was the daughter of his first cous in, Sheindel (married Rabbi JOseph Teomim). In his youth, Rabbi Jacob was a pupil of Rabbi Meshullam Egra and later engaged in business wich, upon failing,, he became Av Beis Di of Monastyriska where he also founded a yeshiva. He became the Av B eis Din of Kalisz and later of Lissa. Here he taught Rabbi Akiva Eger the YOunger who lived there from 1770-1791. He later returned to Kalisz where he lived for ten years. He died at Stryj May 25, 1832. His most important works were Chavat Da' at (Lvov, 1799); Mekor Chayim (Zolkiew, 1807); Netivot HaMishpat (Dyhernfurth, Lvov, and Zolkiew, 1809); Torat Gittin (Frankfurt-on-Oder, 1813); Beit Yaakov (Grubescow, 1823); and Kehillat Yaakov (Lvov, 1831). He also wrote commentaries on Eccles iastes, Lamentations, and the Song of Songs, a compendium of laws Derech HaChayim (Zolkiew, 1828) and a commentary on the Passover Haggadah and ritual.
