General Notes: Husband - Dr. Noe (Noach) Davidson
He was an eye doctor (opthalmologist) and an active Zionist who edited the first Zionist newspaper in the Polish language, Glos Zydowski, and wrote for many Russian and Yiddish periodicals. He was active in communal affairs in Warsaw and was pres ident of the Jewish Students' Home in Warsaw.
He served as a military doctor during World War I and was attached to the headquarters of the famous Russian General Nikolai Vladimirovich Russki, commander of the southwestern front. During the war he married the general's daughter, Wiera Russka . She converted to Judaism, but after Dr. Noach Davidson's death she reverted to Christianity and married the Russian General Simenowski. The death of Noah Davidson and his widow's return to Christianity were noted by the Jewish Telegraphic Agen cy. Dr. Noach Davidson and his wife Wiera nee Russka had two children.
