General Notes: Husband - Jozef Cohn

He was a merchant. He was married to Szayna Frayda, daughter of Leib (or Lewek) Hirszfeld. They were married in Warsaw probably in October 1816 (the marriage was registered on November 6, 1816). According to Abraham Samuel Herszberg, Lewek Hirs zfeld was a son of Rabbi Chaim, the head Rabbi of Szczuczyn in the Lomza Gurbernia, also known as the Magid [Preacher] of Szczuczyn. Szyana Frayda was born circa 1799 and died on November 26, 1865, age 66, Warsaw. She is buried in the Warsaw Jew ish Cemetery (sector 11, row 12, number 16). Szayna Frayda was apparently a first cousin of Szajna Ruchla nee Jeszurin, the wife of Dawid Cohn (brother of Sura Ruchla Cohn).
