It happened in the town of Mlawa on the first of November, eighteen hundred and seventy three at ten o'clock in the morning.  Icek Jankief [Yitzhak Yakov son of Yehudah Ha-Levy] Tachna, trader, thirty eight years old, residing in the town of Mlawa, appeared in the presence of the witnesses, Józef Baranowski, sixty two years old, and Zelman Niborski, sixty years old, both of whom synagogue sextons residing in the town of Mlawa, and presented us a child of male gender testifying that it was born in the town of Mlawa on the twenty sixth of October of the current year at five o'clock in the morning to his legitimate wife, Rywka [Channah Leah daughter of Moshe Tzvi] née Cytyn, thirty six years old.  This child was given the name Josek [Yoseph son of Yitzhak Yakov Ha-Levy].  This document was read aloud those who appeared and then signed by us, the witnesses and the father.
