It happened in the town of Nur on the nineteenth / thirty first of May
eighteen hundred fifty four at eight o’clock in the morning the Jews
Boruch Abramowicz [Boruch son of Avram Ha-Levy] Tachna, age twenty
eight, shoemaker, and Herszko Chumowicz Kur, age twenty nine, shoemaker,
both residing in the town of Nur, appeared and testified that yesterday
at nine o’clock in the morning died Szendla Boruchowna [Shayna daughter
of Boruch Ha-Levy] Tachna, age seven, daughter of Boruch [Boruch son of
Avram Ha- Levy] and his wife Sora [Sara daughter of Chanoch] of the
maiden name Abramowicz, leaving her parents and brother Lejb [Yehudah
Aryeh son of Boruch Ha-Levy], residing in the town of Nur. After having
convinced ourselves with our own eyes about the death of Szendla
Boruchowna Tachna this document was read aloud to those who appeared, of
whom the first is the father, and the second the neighbor of the
deceased, and signed only by the holder of the Vital Record Register,
whereas the others in the mentioned document testified that they cannot
write. |
