It happened in the village of Zaremby on the sixteenth of December, eighteen hundred thirty four at eleven o’clock before noon.  The Jew Abram Leybowicz [Avram son of Yehudah Aryeh Ha-Levy] Tachna, scribe of G-d’s commandments (a Torah scribe), age forty eight, residing in the village of Zaremby, appeared in the presence of the witnesses Leybka Kamien, synagogue sexton, age fifty three, and Szmul Leyzorowicz Rudek, blacksmith, age forty, both of whom residing in the village of Zaremby, and showed us a dead child of the male gender, testifying that it was born alive on the day of today in the village of Zaremby at six o’clock in the morning, to his wife Dweyra Herszkowna [Devorah daughter of Tzvi] (from the family Gajer), age twenty four, to whom was to be given the name Leybka [Yehudah Aryeh son of Avram Ha-Levy].  This document was read to those who appeared and signed by the father Abram Leybowicz (Tachna), where as the witnesses cannot write.
